Battery Fill Cap Replacement

SAFETY

Be sure to use proper hand and eye protection when servicing batteries.

Refer to the safety guidelines on the batteries for detailed information.

DIFFERENT CAPS

You may have any one of several different cap styles, but the basics are the same.

CAP REMOVAL

Turn the existing battery cap counter-clockwise 1/4 turn to remove.

For "SpeedCap" style, reverse the pull-tab direction to remove.

CAP INSTALLATION

Place new cap so that the fill port wil be "inward" when tightened.

Turn the new battery cap clockwise 1/4 turn to install. Check tightness.

WATER LEVEL
