Exhaust Vents
This video goes over the troubleshooting steps to follow if the Exhaust Vents in your Hanvey Grooming Van aren't working:
Your active Exhaust Vent should come on automatically when you open it. If it doesn’t come on automatically, check the following:
Make sure the Exhaust Vent switch on the 12 v Power Panel is on.
Make sure the speed knob isn’t on 0.
Make sure the directional switch isn’t in the middle setting.
If you’ve recently turned the directional switch from one direction to the other without letting it power down first while it’s on, you may have blown the fuse. If you think the fuse is blown, press up and turn counter clockwise on the fuse housing. Shake or flick the fuse tube and if the bead wobbles freely, the fuse needs to be replaced. To replace the fuse, take it with you to an auto repair shop and they’ll have the part.
Make sure both vent lids are open when the active vent is working. If the passive vent is closed, the active vent can’t operate effectively due to airflow restriction.
Follow these instructions if your Exhaust Vents aren't functioning properly. If you need further assistance on this topic, please call our office line at 864-269-2912.
