How to test your van's fuses without removing them.
Follow this simple process to make sure the fuses in your Hanvey Grooming Van are working and not blown by using the multimeter in the back of the van:
Take the multimeter from the back of your van and find the fuse panel under the driver's seat on the side of the door. There's a plastic panel cover that you'll need to remove
Set the multimeter to the arrow indicator under the 2000 ohm setting. Without the prongs touching each other, the display should show the number "1".
To test each fuse, press one prong into the exposed metal toward the top of the fuse facing you and the other prong into the exposed metal on the bottom of that same fuse.
If the number displayed on the multimeter changes, the fuse is not blown and is working properly. If the number stays at "1", the fuse is most likely blown.
Once you perform this test, if you think one or more of your fuses are blown, call Hanvey's office at 864-269-2912 to speak with a represntative.
You should only really follow this process if you're experiencing power problems and have already checked your alternator. See the related video below or search "alternator" in this site. If you need further assistance on this topic, please call our office line at 864-269-2912.
Thank you so much for being the most important member of the Hanvey Family!
