Shampoo Pump Dispensers
This video discusses the function and operation of the Shampoo Pump Dispensers in your Hanvey Grooming Van:
Each Hanvey Grooming Van comes with at least one Shampoo Pump Dispenser and can have a maximum of three if the owner opted for the two extras during the build process. In the back of the van along the shelf behind the tub, you'll find the bottle holders for the Shampoo Pump Dispensers. The Dispensers themselves will be mounted over the tub with tubes leading back to the bottle holders.
The bottle holders are designed to fit a standard gallon container of shampoo. You'll want to store your most commonly used shampoos here starting with your favorite in "Pump 1" and on through the rest that your van has. A lot of groomers use at least one of these for their favorite conditioner which works great as well.
With the gallon containers stored in the bottle holders, you'll just drop the clear tube for the corresponding Shampoo Pump Dispenser down into the gallon and press the pump a few times until you see the shampoo fill the tube and get close to the pump. Once you've done that, all you have to do is press the pump at the tub any time you need to add shampoo to your bath. This design works really well with the Bathing Beauty since the shampoo will be in its concentrated form.
A single pump of the Shampoo Pump Dispenser releases one ounce of shampoo into the tub. If you're using the Bathing Beauty, you won't need a full ounce for every bath, so the best practice is to either press lightly on the pump to get just a little shampoo or to press hard and fast to get a line of shampoo down the side of the tub. This lets you spray the bottom of the line with the Bathing Beauty to add shampoo as needed while you bathe the dogs.
