How to test your van's alternator to see if it's charging the battery bank:
Set the inverter panel in the cab of the van to the main screen and check the battery voltage.
Start the van and watch the voltage to see if the number changes.
If the voltage doesn't change, your alternator is not charging the batteries. This could be due to a bad alternator or the breaker between the alternator and batteries could be tripped.
If it climbs, but climbs less than .5 v over a 30 second period, your alternator works, but it may be time to change your solenoid. See the related video below.
If it climbs more than .5 v over a 30 second period, your alternator and solenoid are both working.
